Human Motor Pattern at INNOVIT - Italian Innovation and Culture Hub, bringing our vision for the BMPOD project and our patented deep-tech technology to San Francisco.

It was an intense and deeply valuable experience, full of growth and learning. Being surrounded by such a stimulating ecosystem was both inspiring and energizing, pushing us to achieve in one week what might otherwise take months.

Beyond the mentorship and professional growth, what made this experience truly special was the collaboration with an incredible group of innovators. Seeing so much Italian talent focused on global challenges was one of the highlights of this journey.

Thank you to Lazio Innova, INNOVIT, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and all the partners who made this mission possible.

It's official: our startup has been selected by the Lazio Region among the 16 companies participating in the international mission at INNOVIT, the hub of Italian innovation in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Why is this trip so important for us? Because ambition is not enough to scale: we need to interact with the most dynamic tech ecosystem in the world. From April 27 to May 1 we will be in San Francisco to forge strategic partnerships and accelerate our growth.

This achievement is the result of a shared journey. Special thanks go to Lazio Innova for their constant support in the "Innovation Ecosystem" program.

HMP selected for the Investor Day 4 Life Science: the future of Precision Medicine is here.

We are thrilled to announce that Human Motor Patterns (HMP) has been chosen among the 30 excellences of Lazio that will participate in the Investor Day at Palazzo Merulana in Rome, an event promoted by Lazio Innova.

At HMP we don't just innovate, we are carrying out a real technology transfer in the Med-Tech sector. At the center of our vision is the BMPOD: an internationally patented ecosystem that transforms the traditional handcrafted insole into a Precision Medicine device.

With a consolidated TRL 4 and a scalability strategy aiming at the main clinical hubs, we are ready to open our €900,000 funding round to bring the beta prototype to the real market.

From the European Patent to Equilibrio in Sanità: Discover Human Motor Patterns

On this occasion, our team will present a project that has recently achieved a fundamental milestone: the granting of the European patent. This is just the beginning! We are ready to take the next big step in the field of MSDs associated with bad posture.

Our first prototype is reality: all tests completed successfully!

After a year of intense and satisfying work, we have officially completed the tests on our proof of concept: the first prototype of the medical device is ready and fully functional. This is a concrete and symbolic step at the same time, which marks the beginning of the most operational phase of our technological vision.

The result was possible thanks to the synergy of the HMP healthcare team, the collaboration with Ortopedia Mancini, and the work between the inventor Dr. Pino Strano and our team of software developers. The date of April 12, 2025 represented a historic moment: the prototype was shown in action with enthusiasm from the members present.

Strategic alliances: partnership signed with the Universities of Tor Vergata and Link Campus!

HMP enters into two very high-profile academic partnerships, fundamental to accelerating the development of the project and consolidating its scientific, technological and market bases.

With Tor Vergata the collaboration involves the Engineering Department for the development of the definitive prototype and the implementation of AI. Link Campus will conduct tests on athletes from its sports teams and support financial and marketing strategies for market entry.

HMP protagonist at WMF 2024: our first public presentation on the "We Make Future" stage

On 14 June 2024 HMP was selected at the prestigious international event "We Make Future" in Bologna, "Future of Health" category. On stage our CEO, Dr. Giovanni Maresca spoke about the vision and innovative value of our technology.

On this occasion it was announced that the first version of the Proof of Concept Prototype will be ready by October 2024. Our system, based on Precision Medicine, will soon be tested to demonstrate its effectiveness in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders.

Our technology looks to the world: the international extension of the patent has started

HMP has started the international patent extension process, filing the PCT application with WIPO in 9 strategically selected countries to use intellectual property as a competitive lever.

This strategy allows HMP to consolidate its competitive advantage, increase its asset value, access the Patent Box regime and offer investors a concrete guarantee of reliability and potential.

HMP awarded among the best 300 Italian startups by the Italy USA Foundation

Our startup received the Innovation Award from the Italy USA Foundation, assigned to the 300 most promising entrepreneurial companies on the Italian scene, with objective criteria based on the Business Register.

The ceremony was held in the Chamber of Deputies. The founders Giovanni Maresca and Francesca Romana Latini accepted the award: a strong signal that confirms HMP's commitment to carrying forward a unique medical technology in the field of musculoskeletal disorders.

The second fundraising was successfully closed: new capital to accelerate the project

The second round of investments concluded successfully, confirming the confidence and growing interest around the HMP project. The €50,000 necessary for the international extension of the patent has been reached.

This result allows us to strengthen the foundations of the project and look with confidence to the next phases, which include strengthening the team, technological development and consolidating our positioning in the healthcare market. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the investors who have chosen to believe in our vision.

The assessment study concluded: the innovation underlying our system validated

HMP has made use of the collaboration with Quantum Leap S.r.l. for an in-depth analysis of hundreds of international patent families. The study confirmed that HMP positions itself as a in a completely new market segment.

Quantum Leap has estimated the intellectual property — still in the pending phase — with a value of more than half a million euros. At the same time, Expert Lab S.r.l. conducted a technical-operational feasibility study confirming the concrete feasibility of the project.

The "Confirmation" of the European Patent presented: another step towards official recognition

The application for "Confirmation" of the European patent has been formally filed, marking a further crucial step in the path of protecting our innovation.

The texts of the patent documentation were drafted by the inventor Dr. Giovanni Maresca, in collaboration with Studio Torta S.p.A. of Turin, specialized in intellectual property at an international level. This synergy has given rise to solid documentation strategically designed to fully exploit the technological content of the invention.

HMP convinces investors: the first round closed with results above expectations

The initial round of investments concluded successfully, leading to the raising of approximately €135,000 in just 30 days, thanks to the entry of new capital partners who strongly believed in the vision proposed by HMP.

At the same time, key professional figures — including a psychologist, an engineer and a software developer — have chosen to contribute voluntarily, without financial compensation. The funds will be allocated to market research, IP assessment and filing of the "Confirmation" of the European pre-patent.

Positive opinion from the International Authority: our BMPOD passes the first big test

The international authority expressed a favorable opinion on the BMPOD solution, confirming the innovative potential of the patent initially filed in 2021 by the physiatrist Dr. Giovanni Maresca, now CEO of HMP.

Following this approval, HMP officially acquired all rights to the patent in June 2022. The patent claims submitted were fully approved, including those relating to the use of artificial intelligence and the use of a cyber loop — the technological cornerstones of the proposed innovation.
